I was born in my aunt's house in Fredonia, Texas, and moved to Brady when I was in the third grade. My mother was a Lutheran and my dad was a Methodist so I grew up going to both St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Mason and the Fredonia Methodist Church. I still have strong ties to both churches. I started playing the organ when I was thirteen and continued playing until I graduated from Brady High School. My husband, Fletcher, and I joined FUMC Brady on the Sunday before we got married fifty-six years ago. We have two daughters, Kathleen Gray and Nita Fields and two granddaughters, Hannah Gray and Kacy Rowley. They have been a source of great joy for us. I am a retired school teacher and school counselor. I received my B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Hardin-Simmons University and my M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling at Angelo State University.
