Brady and Beyond

General Conference - oversees the Methodist Church worldwide, meets every 4 years and is made up of representatives from all over the world. 

Jurisdictions - FUMC Brady is in the South Central Jurisdiction, based in Oklahoma City, OK, and includes 15 annual conferences in TX, NM, OK, LA, AR, KS, MO, and NE; jurisdictions elect bishops for each Episcopal area (one or two annual conferences in an area) every four years

Annual Conferences - FUMC Brady is in the Southwest Texas Annual Conference, based out of San Antonio (umcswtx.org) which is made up of 7 districts, led by newly elected Bishop James (Jim) Dorff

Districts - FUMC Brady's District is affectionately known as the “Way Out West (WOW) District”, or San Angelo District, and is based out of San Angelo - Brady is the eastern edge of the district, and our District Superintendent (leader of the district) is Rev. Larry Altman
