Pastor John Alsbrooks was born and raised in East
Texas. John is the oldest of four boys born to John & Joyce
Alsbrooks. John and wife Sharon have been married 34 years and have been in the
ministry for the last 20 years. Prior to the ministry John worked in the
petrochemical field as a quality control inspector and planner.
He is on the board of directors for the Methodist Children's Home.
He serves as an executive director and also on the Development committee
and the Program and Planning Committee.
In 1997, John was invited to Austin
to work with the Department of Public Safety and helped implement a law
enforcement chaplaincy program. John has served as chairman of this
organization since the inception. He continues to serve as a DPS
Chaplain.
John and Sharon have a small farm in San Saba County. He
loves the outdoors and fishing, along with other hobbies.
Will
Enger graduated from Tabor College of Hillsboro, KS in 2006 where he
received his B.A. in Health and Physical Education. While at Tabor Will
participated in Basketball and Golf, served as a Resident Assistant in
the dorms for two-years, lead men’s retreat’s, and participated in a
number of intramural sports as well as short drama productions. Upon
graduation, Will remained at Tabor for an additional two-years as an
Admissions Counselor before accepting a role in full-time vocational
ministry in Norman, OK. He served as the Area Director for K-Life
ministries, as well as part-time youth pastor for Grace Fellowship
Church.
Will
is joined by his wife Jesica, also a graduate of Tabor College (2008).
They tied the knot just before the New Year on December 31, 2008.
Will
has joined us to serve the Church through our youth programs. He is
excited about his role within the Church and looks forward to meeting
new people in the Church and community. Will’s
hobbies include fishing, hunting, camping, boating, wakeboarding,
snowboarding, scuba diving, playing golf, and taking his wife on

Jes Enger - Assistant Youth/Children's Director
Jes is our newest addition to our growing Children's Ministry. Stay tuned for additional information about Jes and her involvement with our youth.
Holly Stewart is married to James Stewart. They have two children, Brynn, age 13, and Sam, age 10. Holly is a Brady native and a 1992 graduate of Texas A&M University (WHOOP!). Holly is in her ninth year as director of choir.
Holly comes from a musical family. Her mother (Mary Ann Smith) plays the piano and her father (Larry), brother and sister-in-law (Zack & Sarah) are all in the choir. James runs the sound board, which also includes coordinating the projector, and other responsibilities, including being the editor of the local newspaper.
Linda and her husband, Paul, have lived in the Lohn/Fife area since 1987. Both Linda and Paul were born and raised in Arizona and moved to Texas in 1982. They have 3 grown children, Jackie, Shiloh and Lisa who all graduated from Lohn High School. Linda graduated from Howard College in Big Spring, TX in 1986 with an ADN degree and has worked as an RN for 22 years. She has been employed by Methodist Healthcare Ministries since November 2008 as a Wesley Nurse in Brady. When asked how she likes being a Wesley Nurse, Linda said she "loves it, especially being able to make a difference and help those in need."
Kathleen Fields Gray was born and raised in Brady. Parents Mary Sue and Fletcher were married at First United Methodist Church in Brady over 50 years ago. Kathleen graduated from BHS in 1982 and remains a Bulldog fan. In Kathleen's earlier career, she was a special education teacher. For the last 14 years, Kathleen has been a counselor at Brady Elementary. Kathleen has one daughter, Hannah (16) who is very active in many activities. Kathleen has been the handbell director for the last six years, affectionately known as the Adult Bell Choir, or "ABCDing-a-lings"!
Donna was born in Joplin MO, but became a Texan
at age 3. She grew up near Dumas TX and
attended West Texas State University in Canyon.
She returned to Dumas, married and raised both children there. Wanting to escape the panhandle weather, they
visited her brother-in-law in Tow, liked the area and purchased a home at Brady
Lake. Donna and her husband Jay have
been married 6 years. Donna has two
children, Gerald (Kansas) and Stefanie, with her husband, live in Brady. Between Donna and Jay, there are 6
grandchildren. Donna has been the Church's office manager since 1997. In her (rare) spare
time, she enjoys reading and working in the yard.
